When I arrived at the hospital to get my Grandma’s things, I saw that she had left us a note. She had written it on the back of the only sheet of paper she had — the one with the phone numbers — mine and my husband’s.
Grandma always worried about us more than she worried about herself. In this note, she asked us not to cry. She told me more than once during her lifetime, too, about not crying when she was gone. “If you cry, it will be hard for me there,” was her explanation.
Usually, I always tried to fulfill my Grandma’s requests, but I couldn’t do this one
