A drawing

My Grandma gave me drawings and cards, and I gave her mine in return. I guess I never drew as much as I did when I was a kid. I think that half of my drawings, if not more, were drawn as a gift to my Grandma. She always cherished all my crafts, cards, and drawings — and later my children’s drawings.

My mom helped my Grandma neatly put them into file folders. I often saw my Grandma revisiting these pictures. I never fully understood what it was that she loved so much about this process, but I think it delighted her endlessly. She could sit for hours with a folder in her hands and go through the drawings — mine and then my children’s.
